what’s going on with the PreCental News App? It only loads the full site. It has been this way for a couple days.

The search function is not working in the Precentral News app. It just takes you to a blank page.
I can’t do anything about because my app is displaying mobile precentral version. Please contact Precentral.net admin.

Hello! Great thing you did with the PC app for the Pre series (although not full screen on the 3) and TouchPad. But since an update I can’t post comments from either one of them and the forums are gone from the app (although back on the phone app)! Please fix this! As it beat the purpose of having these apps while “on the go”! LONG LIVES WEBOS!!!
Precentral changed all thier website, so I have to build again the application.
I am looking forward to an updated Pre Central (now webOS Nation…) app too. I really like how I can choose a much larger font size in your app than in their mobile web portal that does not force me to scroll right & left.
Hope you can get it working nicely on a Pre with webOS 1.4.5, Pre 3, and TouchPad. Thank you for all of your hard work!!!

About which app?
The Precentral News app as it exists today on 1.4.5.1 is not as good as it could be since the change from precentral to webosnation. Would it be possible to get an update that fixes the URLs? (I’m guessing that’s what the problem is)
I should learn to read first I guess. In case there is an updated version (whoch you appear to be working on) I will definitely use the donation link 🙂

I think Winterbay may be having the same problem that I am having, which is we cannot install version 0.9.0 of your Precentral News app on our webOS 1.4.5 devices, therefore we are stuck at version 0.8.0 which opens links in the web browser instead of your app.
really strange, version 0.9.0 is available from 1.4.5 to 2.1.

Are you sure you have it set to be available for the Palm Pre too?
When I go to (in a non-webOS web browser):

The bottom of the left-most column say:
“Available for:
HP Veer, Palm Pre2, HP Pre3”
I do not see the “Palm Pre” or “Palm Pre Plus” listed.
Furthermore, when I tap your “Find it in the App Catalog” link near the top this page for the Precentral News app on my Palm Pre Plus with webOS 1.4.5, I get “This application is not available for your model” in the App Catalog.
I get the same message when I go to the “My Applications” list in the App Catalog and then tap on “Precentral News (unofficial) 0.8.0”.
So I am stuck with version 0.8.0, which has the problem that every time I tap on a link, it is opened in the web browser instead of your nice Precentral News app, which looks like it has been renamed to “webOSnation News (unofficial)” from the above link.

Can you also allow this Precentral News app to be added to the TouchPad?
I know you make an “HD” version for the TouchPad, but often times I like the simplicity of this non-HD version better.
